I imagine that will take a few weeks to a month. I will then go on to edit from there on my own, fixing all the problems that the developmental editing found. This is more of a plot/character development overview and to see where maybe plot lines have gone astray or been dropped in improperly. The first stage is developmental editing and you can read more about that here. But of course Shattered Glass will only be an enhancement to it and vice versa. It’s important, to me, that this book is a book on its own and that you will not have need to read Shattered Glass in order for it to make sense. I’m going to put give y’all a list on what is involved in my editing process and this is particularly different than my last one because, while, it is not quite a sequel, it is a continuation of a side-character arc. At the moment I am hoping the developmental editor will have time to review and get back to me in the next month.
They did have a lot of notes for the rest of the story but not nearly as many as the last 10 chapters. So the Alpha readers only had the last few chapters to really delve into a lot of notes. I had been tweaking and re-writing all of Not So Innocent for the last few years.
